Definitely, Caching server gives you big help if your organization has slow Internet connections or cannot afford higher bandwidth speed. SQUID is one of common caching server in linux platform.

Today, I install the caching server and tested it. At the first place, i got error below

Access control configuration prevents your request from being allowed at this time. Please contact your service provider if you feel this is incorrect.

It was not that serious issue. Go to Access control option on Squid server. and check http_access section

and change like below

# And finally deny all other access to this proxy
#http_access deny all
http_access allow all
